General Motors Corporation of the USA presented NTC with the “Supplier of the Year” award for three years in succession from 1997. This was due to GM's high evaluation of the productivity and reliability of NTC's transfer machines, which were supplied to GM's plants in North America and Central/South America for machining various automotive parts. In fact, it can be said it was the first spectacular achievement for a Japanese machine tool manufacturer to be honored with the award.
