Recent history of our business performance

Two years ago we applied our business plan which was to attain an annual production of 200 units while meeting a sales goal between 24 and 26 billion yen. We also planned to maintain the current earnings ratio of 3%.

Presently we have achieved the annual production of 300 units and sales of 40 billion yen with a current earnings ratio of 7%. We have surpassed all of our projections.

However, we may experience some peaks and valleys in the future. We in the Transfer Machine Division do not expect that past performance is anyway a guarantee of future growth. Innovation, quality, service and vision are needed now more then ever before.

Meeting the goal was not accomplished only by favorable market conditions.

The key points in achieving the goal

We have put much emphasis on the enhancement of quality and reliability.

In concrete terms, we have promoted thorough standardization and we have addressed external issues by building a mechanism to quickly meet the users needs.

With our Customers at the core of the plan we have achieved higher accuracy, quick response for improved quality and reliability.

Attaining the last goal is only the first step. New goals are the spirit of growth. Growth is the continued advancement toward being the best.

During our last period of rapid expansion everyone overcame many challenges. However, the future will hold many more opportunities for those that continue to apply themselves to the future challenges.

Our next goal is to be cost competitive

What is our next goal?

It is to be cost competitive

Automobiles are global products, Prices that prevail in Japan cannot be applied to the expanding India and Chinese markets. I believe that we must become far more cost competitive this will permit the sale of our products to these growth markets.

For this reason we must develop capabilities based on the evaluation of present, and past practices. This will include all of the techniques and mechanisms previously and presently used. Thinking out of the box with imagination, regard for all options and opinions is necessary to meet this difficult challenge.

The new way will not diminish the past accomplishments in any way. However, innovative thinking based on sound planning will permit us to attain the stated goal without sacrificing our earned position as the best. We can build excellent products in a way that is competitive but as yet unimagined. By meeting this goal we will set a new standard for others to follow.

We are a leader in the automotive industry. We have been given the access to innovative ideas from our customers, state of the art technological applications and input as to future trends. We will develop our products with this in mind, by staying ahead of the curve now and into the future.

“Absolute Quality” is ahead of us after we clear the highest hurdles.

What can be frankly stated about our goals?

Just like the Olympic games, once a record is set it becomes the world standard.

When the highest hurdle is cleared, a higher one is put in place.

NTC’s ability to develop new technologies is the core of the company. The spirit in which we have attacked every challenge will become even more important in the future. We should never be satisfied with the current situation and should always push the status quo through innovation and vision.

It is extremely easy to follow the path last traveled instead of looking for a new way to get to our destination. We must always look for a better way.

We at NTC are aiming to be No. 1 in the world. We will do this by producing a product that the customer really wants to buy and not just accept. Surpassing the customer’s expectations and concerns with "Absolute Quality" can do this.
